Local coverage
Wall printing for Kent, delivered by a team that actually travels there
Kent covers a lot of ground, from the commercial and logistics belt around Dartford, Gravesend and Ebbsfleet to the cathedral city of Canterbury, the Medway towns, the coastal trade at Margate, Whitstable, Folkestone and Dover, and the market towns of Maidstone, Ashford, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. Direct-to-wall printing works across all of it for the same reason: the printer travels to the wall, the artwork goes on in one continuous pass, and the UV ink cures as it prints so nothing has to dry.
The county's building stock is unusually varied. There are new distribution sheds beside the M20 and M2 with vast painted blockwork walls, Victorian and Georgian buildings in the towns with older plaster, and modern office and education buildings with clean skimmed surfaces. Each one takes ink differently, which is why we survey the wall before quoting rather than pricing from a photograph.
Printing up to 4 metres high with unlimited length means a Kent warehouse wall, a school corridor or a double-height reception is a single image rather than a panelled grid. There is no vinyl carrier, no backing paper and no offcuts to dispose of, and the printer draws roughly 0.06 kWh per square metre, so the environmental cost of a large mural is far lower than most clients assume.
Response times to Kent
Kent is a short run from our Essex base through the Dartford Crossing, so north and west Kent in particular are straightforward for us to reach, and visits further into the county are booked for a date that suits you.

Why Kent businesses choose UK Wall Printing
Easy reach through the Dartford Crossing
North and west Kent are a short run from our Essex base, so site visits are simple to arrange and quotes come back quickly.
One visit, no drying time
The UV ink cures as it prints, so a Kent classroom, shop or reception is usable the moment we finish.
Compliance ready
Public liability insurance, DBS checks, CHAS accreditation and job-specific RAMS: the documents Kent schools, councils and facilities teams request.
Durable in high-traffic settings
Washable and scratch resistant, lasting around 10 years indoors and 5 years outdoors.
A genuine alternative to vinyl
No plastic carrier, no seams and nothing sent to landfill when the graphic is eventually changed.
Local conditions
The wall problems we see again and again in Kent
Salt air and coastal exposure
Coastal Kent buildings weather quickly. We check the surface first, because a sound, dry wall is what any printed finish depends on.
Older plaster in historic towns
Canterbury, Rochester and the market towns have buildings with older, uneven plaster. Texture changes how the artwork is prepared, so the survey happens before the quote.
Vast warehouse walls that panelling cannot handle neatly
Panelled vinyl on a long logistics wall shows every join. Printing runs the image continuously instead.
Term-time and trading restrictions
Schools and shops both have narrow windows for work. A single-visit, instantly cured finish fits inside them.
Graphics that need changing later
Campaign and tenant changes are common. Printed walls can be overprinted or painted over without stripping plastic off the surface first.
Our process
The same five-step system on every Kent job
-
Step 1
Free site visit and wall survey
We come to you, measure the wall, check it for flatness, damp, dust and existing coatings, and confirm the printable area. Our machine prints up to 4 metres high and unlimited in length, so the survey is where we work out exactly how your artwork maps onto the surface you have.
-
Step 2
Artwork preparation and digital proof
Send us your own file or let us create the design. We scale it to the true wall dimensions, correct resolution, colour and crop, then issue a to-scale digital proof. Nothing is printed until you have signed that proof off, so there are no surprises on the wall.
-
Step 3
Surface preparation and machine set-up
The wall is cleaned and prepared, the printer is set up against it and calibrated, and RAMS are supplied for the job. Set-up is quiet, contained and needs no scaffolding for standard heights.
-
Step 4
Direct-to-wall printing with instant UV cure
GREENGUARD Gold certified Nazdar 270 series UV inks are printed straight onto the wall and cured instantly as the head passes. There is no drying time, no solvent smell and no plastic film, so the image is finished the moment the last pass completes.
-
Step 5
Inspection, sign-off and clean handover
We walk the finished wall with you, check colour and edges, clear the area and leave the space usable straight away. The cured print is washable and scratch resistant, and lasts roughly 10 years indoors or 5 years outdoors.
Questions
Wall printing in Kent: your questions answered
Which parts of Kent do you cover?
All of it, including Dartford, Gravesend, Ebbsfleet, the Medway towns, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Folkestone, Dover and the coastal towns.
How much does wall printing in Kent cost?
Pricing depends on wall size, surface condition and access, so every job is quoted individually after a free site visit. You receive a written, bespoke quote before committing.
How long does the work take?
Most walls are completed in a single visit. Because the ink cures instantly, there is no drying time to wait out afterwards.
Is printing better than wallpaper for a commercial Kent site?
In most cases, yes. There are no seams to notice, no edges to lift and no bubbling, and the finish is washable and scratch resistant.
Can you print outdoors in Kent?
Yes. Exterior prints typically last around 5 years depending on exposure, compared with roughly 10 years indoors.
Do you need the room emptied?
Just a clear working area in front of the wall and around two inches of clearance at the base for the printer to ride along. We confirm this at the site visit.
Can you work in Kent schools during term time?
Yes. We are DBS checked and CHAS accredited, supply RAMS for every job and use GREENGUARD Gold certified low-emission inks, so rooms can be reoccupied immediately.
Do you offer trade or white label printing in Kent?
Yes. We print for fit-out contractors, sign makers, interior designers and agencies under their own branding, with trade terms available on request.
