The office problem

Office walls take more punishment than any showroom, and wallpaper knows it

Offices are the hardest test for a wall covering. Chairs hit skirting, bags brush corridors, desks get moved, cleaning is constant, and the brand itself changes every few years. Office wallpaper and office vinyl are asked to survive all of that while being stuck on with adhesive.

Direct-to-wall printing puts the design into the wall surface instead. Your logo, brand colours, wayfinding, meeting-room names, values or photography are printed by a vertical UV printer straight onto the plaster, cured instantly and immediately usable.

It also solves the scheduling problem. There is no paste, no smell and no drying time, so we work through a normal day around occupied desks rather than booking a weekend and paying overtime rates.

Why offices rip it out

Rebrands, refits and the cost of undoing the last set of graphics

The average office graphic package has a shorter life than the lease. A rebrand, a merger, a new tenant or a floor reconfiguration and the whole lot comes off, taking paint with it and leaving a making-good bill before the new design even starts.

Vinyl manifestation and cut logos add their own quirks: exposed edges on cut shapes, seams across wide reception walls, and lifting corners exactly where people walk past.

Meanwhile the alternative many offices settle for is bare magnolia plus a few framed prints, which says nothing about the business to a candidate, a client or the staff who look at it all day.

The differences that matter to a facilities manager, an office manager or a fit-out lead.

Consideration Office wallpaper or vinyl Direct-to-wall printing

Why offices choose it

What printing gives an office that wallpaper cannot

Exact brand colour

Work from your brand guidelines and proof the colour before print day, so the logo on the wall matches the logo everywhere else.

No downtime

No wet trades, no odour and no curing period. Neighbouring desks usually keep working while we print.

Every wall is an option

Reception, corridors, breakout areas, stairwells, meeting rooms, glass partitions and even doors on our easel.

Zoning without building anything

Colour blocks, graphics and wayfinding define departments and quiet zones without adding partitions or joinery.

Rebrand-friendly

When the identity changes, we print over the top. No removal contractor, no making good, no dilapidations argument.

Multi-site consistency

The same file prints identically in every office, so a national rollout looks the same in Leeds as it does in London.

Around the building

The office walls we print most often

Start with the walls people see without choosing to: the ones behind the desk, along the route to the lifts and opposite the kitchen.

Reception brand walls

Logo, strapline and imagery at full height behind the desk, sized to the wall rather than to a print roll.

Meeting and board rooms

A backdrop that looks intentional on video calls, plus room naming and numbering printed in.

Corridors and stairwells

Long runs of imagery, values or timeline graphics that would need a dozen wallpaper drops to achieve.

Breakout and kitchen areas

Informal graphics and colour that make the social space feel deliberate rather than left over.

Wayfinding and floor identity

Directional graphics, floor numbers and department markers printed onto the wall itself.

Recruitment and culture walls

Values, milestones and team photography, updated whenever the story does.

Practicalities

How a printed office job actually runs

Working in a live office

We need clear access to the wall and a working space in front of it. Beyond that, the operation is dry and quiet enough that adjacent desks normally carry on. There is no paste, no dust sheeting for spills and no drying time to plan around.

RAMS paperwork is supplied for every job, our team is DBS checked and CHAS accredited, and we carry public liability insurance, which covers most landlord and building management requirements.

Artwork, brand guidelines and proofing

Send your logo files, brand guidelines and any photography you want used. We set the design out against the measured wall, proof it, and only print once you have approved the layout and colour.

If you do not have artwork ready, our design service creates it, whether that is a full graphic scheme for a floor or a single reception wall.

Surfaces, glass and awkward walls

Plaster, paint, concrete, brick, wood, tile, plastics and glass all print, and the printer copes with up to two inches of variation in the wall surface. Internal corners and tight recesses cannot be printed into, so designs are planned around them.

Doors, tables and canvases can be printed on our large easel, so a scheme is not limited to the fixed walls.

How it works

From first phone call to a finished wall

01

Free consultation and site visit

We measure the wall, check the surface and its condition, look at access and parking, and confirm whether the design is indoor or outdoor. Consultations, site visits and quotes are free with no obligation.

02

Artwork: ours or yours

Send us your own file or use our design service. Where artwork needs upscaling for large-format output we handle that first, and you approve a proof before anything reaches the wall.

03

Planning around the building

Designs are set out to finish cleanly before internal corners or continue onto adjoining walls. Obstacles are assessed in advance, and work at height is quoted as an add-on where the design sits off the ground.

04

Print day

We position and calibrate the printer, print straight onto the wall and leave the space ready to use immediately. RAMS paperwork is supplied per job, and our team is DBS checked and CHAS accredited.
