Overview

Your identity, at building scale

Printed wall branding takes the assets you already own, logo, palette, typeface, imagery, positioning line, and applies them directly to the wall at architectural scale. There is no plaque, no applied vinyl and no framed panel. The identity becomes part of the surface, which is why it reads as intentional design rather than signage stuck on after the builders left.

The commercial case is that brand consistency drops off exactly where it matters most. Websites, decks and social channels are governed tightly; the physical space where clients, candidates and staff actually spend time is often left to whatever the previous tenant did. Printed branding closes that gap in a single day per wall.

Colour is the part most people worry about, and rightly. We prepare artwork against your brand references, calibrate to the substrate and issue a to-scale proof for approval. Approval happens before printing, so the brand team sees and signs off the exact result rather than reacting to a finished wall.

Because the ink cures instantly and is GREENGUARD Gold certified, branding can be printed in occupied receptions, offices, showrooms and shops without odour or downtime. The space is handed back usable, not out of action.

Why professional delivery matters

  • Reproducing brand colour accurately on a painted wall requires proofing and calibration, not colour matching by eye.
  • Logos need vector or high-resolution source artwork to stay sharp at architectural scale.
  • Placement against sight lines, glazing and lighting determines whether the branding is actually seen.
  • Live premises require RAMS, insurance and controlled working around staff and customers.

The cost of leaving it

When the building contradicts the brand

Every visitor compares what they were sold online with what they walk into. If the website is sharp and the reception is blank, scuffed or still showing the previous identity, the visitor resolves the contradiction in the least flattering way; they assume the polished version is the marketing and the building is the truth.

Half-failed applied branding does specific damage. A logo with a lifted corner, a peeling brand strip or a colour that has drifted several shades from the guidelines tells people that standards are allowed to slip here. It is a small detail that is read as evidence, and it is read by exactly the audiences you least want reading it.

The delay cost is real too. Every month the premises stay off-brand is another month of client meetings, filmed calls, recruitment days, photography and walk-ins running against the wrong backdrop. When it is finally corrected, failed vinyl has to be stripped and the plaster made good, so the delay adds cost as well as lost impressions.

Common mistakes we are called in to fix

  • Using a logo file pulled from the website

Web logos are low-resolution rasters. At 3 metres the edges break up. We need vector or high-resolution originals.

  • Approving colour from a screen

Monitors, print and cured ink on matt plaster all behave differently. Proofing against brand references is the only reliable method.

  • Branding the wrong wall

The wall people actually look at from the door is often not the one on the plan. Placement is decided on site.

  • Specifying applied vinyl in high-contact areas

Reception desks and corridors destroy adhesive edges. Direct printing has no edge to fail.

Our process

A five-step system, so you know exactly what happens and when

  1. Step 1

Free site visit and wall survey

We come to you, measure the wall, check it for flatness, damp, dust and existing coatings, and confirm the printable area. Our machine prints up to 4 metres high and unlimited in length, so the survey is where we work out exactly how your artwork maps onto the surface you have.

  2. Step 2

    Artwork preparation and digital proof

Send us your own file or let us create the design. We scale it to the true wall dimensions, correct resolution, colour and crop, then issue a to-scale digital proof. Nothing is printed until you have signed that proof off, so there are no surprises on the wall.

  3. Step 3

    Surface preparation and machine set-up

The wall is cleaned and prepared, the printer is set up against it and calibrated, and RAMS are supplied for the job. Set-up is quiet, contained and needs no scaffolding for standard heights.

  4. Step 4

Direct-to-wall printing with instant UV cure

GREENGUARD Gold certified Nazdar 270 series UV inks are printed straight onto the wall and cured instantly as the head passes. There is no drying time, no solvent smell and no plastic film, so the image is finished the moment the last pass completes.

  5. Step 5

    Inspection, sign-off and clean handover

We walk the finished wall with you, check colour and edges, clear the area and leave the space usable straight away. The cured print is washable and scratch resistant, and lasts roughly 10 years indoors or 5 years outdoors.

In detail

How brand artwork is prepared and printed

We work from your brand guidelines where they exist and build from your assets where they do not. Logo artwork is used in vector form wherever possible so that edges and curves stay clean at any size, and typography is set from the correct licensed brand fonts rather than approximations.

Brand colours are prepared against your specified references and confirmed at proof stage. Because the substrate is a matt painted wall rather than coated stock, we account for how the surface renders colour and check critical marks specifically rather than assuming a global profile will handle it.

Placement is planned at the site visit. We look at where people enter, where they stand while waiting, what is visible on a video call, and where furniture and glazing will obscure. A logo positioned 300mm higher can be the difference between it being seen constantly and being hidden behind a monitor.

For multi-site programmes we hold the approved artwork and printing specification so the standard is repeatable. There is no manufacturing lead time because nothing is produced off-site, which means rollout scheduling is driven by site access alone.

Residential projects

For home offices, studios and consulting rooms, the same approach produces a branded backdrop that works on camera and in person, printed with no odour so the room stays usable.

Commercial projects

Commercial branding is delivered with RAMS per job, public liability insurance, CHAS accreditation and DBS clearance, scheduled around trading hours so no revenue-generating space is lost during the working day.

Questions

Branding: the questions we are asked before every job

How much does printed wall branding cost?

It is quoted per project based on wall area, height, surface preparation, access hours and how much artwork preparation is required. The site visit and quote cost nothing.

Can you match our brand colours precisely?

We prepare artwork against your brand references and issue a to-scale proof for approval, so colour is confirmed before printing rather than judged afterwards.

What logo files do you need?

Vector artwork, AI, EPS or PDF, is ideal. If only raster files exist we will check whether they carry at wall size and rebuild the mark if needed.

Can you brand our reception without closing it?

Yes. The ink cures instantly with no odour, and we frequently work evenings or weekends so the space is fully usable when you open.

How long does branding last on the wall?

Around 10 years indoors and around 5 years outdoors under normal conditions, and the surface is washable and scratch resistant.

Can you do the same branding across several offices?

Yes. We retain approved files and specification and apply them identically across sites in London, the South East and nationwide.

What if we rebrand in a few years?

The wall is repainted and reprinted. There is nothing to strip off and no plaster damage to repair.

Do you supply RAMS and insurance details?

Yes, per job. We are also CHAS accredited and DBS checked, which most building managers require before granting access.

How large can a printed logo be?

Up to 4 metres high, with unlimited length on the wall, printed as one continuous image.

Can you print onto textured or brick walls?

Often yes, though texture becomes part of the finish. We assess the surface at the survey and explain the likely result first.
