Terms & Conditions
The basis on which we quote for and carry out direct-to-wall printing work. Please read these alongside your written quotation, which takes precedence where the two differ.

1. About these terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by UK Wall Printing of Essex. They form part of the contract between us and you once you accept a written quotation. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Quotations and site visits
- Consultations, site visits and quotations are free and carry no obligation.
- Quotations are bespoke to the wall assessed. We do not publish a headline "from" price because cost varies significantly with size, surface, design complexity and access.
- A quotation is valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise, and assumes the wall and access are as described or as seen at the site visit.
- If conditions on the day differ materially from those assessed, we will advise you before proceeding and agree any revised price with you in writing.
3. Technical limitations you should know
- Our maximum print height is 4 metres. Print length is unlimited.
- The printer copes with up to a 2-inch variation or imperfection in the wall surface.
- We cannot print into internal corners or tight recesses. External corners are not a problem. Designs are planned to finish neatly before an internal corner or to continue onto the next wall.
- Protruding obstacles on a wall can cause issues and are assessed individually on each job.
- We print on a wide range of surfaces including plaster, concrete, wood, glass, tiles, wallpaper, painted walls, brick, plastics, paper and canvas, but not on every surface. Wall suitability is confirmed at the site visit.
- Work at height beyond our standard reach is available as a quoted add-on through an established access partner.
4. Artwork and design
- You may supply your own artwork or use our design service. Where you supply artwork, you confirm that you own it or hold the necessary licence and permissions to have it reproduced.
- Supplied files must be of adequate resolution for the finished size. We will advise if upscaling is required and, where possible, prepare the file for print.
- We issue a proof for approval before printing. Once you approve the proof, printing proceeds on that basis and reprints caused by approved errors are chargeable.
- Printed colour is matched as closely as the process allows. Minor variation between a screen proof, a printed sample and the finished wall is normal and is not a defect.
5. Site access and preparation
- You agree to provide safe, clear access to the wall, along with a power supply, adequate working space and, where required, parking.
- The wall should be clean, dry, sound and free from loose or flaking material. Remedial preparation, if needed, is quoted separately.
- We supply RAMS paperwork for each job, hold public liability insurance, are CHAS accredited and our operatives are DBS checked. Please tell us at enquiry stage about any site-specific induction, permit or safeguarding requirement.
- Delays caused by access not being available at the agreed time may incur a re-attendance charge.
6. Booking, changes and cancellation
- Dates are confirmed in writing once a quotation is accepted.
- Consumers have the right to cancel a contract agreed off-premises within 14 days. Where you ask us to begin work within that period, you may be charged for work already carried out.
- For business clients, cancellation or postponement within 5 working days of the agreed start date may incur charges for design work completed and materials committed.
7. Payment
Payment terms are stated on your quotation or invoice. Where a deposit is required it is payable before design or scheduling begins, with the balance due on completion unless agreed otherwise. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on late payment of commercial invoices.
8. Durability and guarantees
- Printed walls have an expected service life of approximately 10 years indoors and 5 years outdoors, based on our experience and the ink manufacturer's specification.
- The UV-LED cured ink is scratch resistant, waterproof and can be wiped down or washed. It is cured instantly as it is applied, so there is no drying time and no installation downtime.
- These figures assume normal use and normal cleaning. They do not cover damage caused by building movement, damp, structural defects, abrasive cleaning products, redecoration, deliberate damage or third-party works.
- If you believe there is a defect in our work, tell us promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and put it right.
9. Removal and redecoration
A printed wall is removed simply by painting over it with standard wall paint, or by printing new artwork over the top. There is no peeling, no adhesive residue and no damage to the plaster. We are not responsible for the results of redecoration carried out by others.
10. Liability
We carry public liability insurance and accept liability for damage caused by our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the work, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit or business interruption.
11. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of artwork you supply. Where we create a design for you, ownership passes to you on full payment. Unless you ask us in writing not to, we may photograph completed work and use those images to promote our services.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
