Traditional wallpaper and vinyl graphics are installed in panels, leaving visible joins, overlaps and seams that distract from the design and become more obvious the longer you live with them. Our printer creates one continuous image directly onto your wall.

Whether you are creating a one-metre feature graphic or a design stretching the full length of a corridor, the artwork remains continuous, up to 4 metres high and unlimited in length, giving your space a premium appearance that is simply not possible with conventional wall coverings.

The printer is also designed to work with the architecture of your building. It cannot print into internal corners or tight recesses, so every project is planned so designs finish neatly before a corner or continue seamlessly onto the adjoining wall.

Museums typically use silk screen printing to mark walls with interpretive text. The advantage of silk screening over vinyl is that the text comes out clearer, which matters when visitors are reading at close range.

The ink is UV-LED cured instantly during printing, so it is hardened against normal touch and minor friction the moment it is applied. There is no cure time to protect and no film to scuff.

The finish is scratch resistant and waterproof, and can be wiped down or washed, which is why it holds up in corridors, receptions, wards and hospitality venues that see constant traffic. Because the ink is UV-cured, sunlight does not fade it.

Under normal conditions you should expect around 10 years indoors and 5 years outdoors. And when it has served its purpose, refurbishment is genuinely simple: print over it, or paint over it with standard interior emulsion.

What is direct-to-wall printing?

A vertical UV printer is positioned against your wall, calibrated to the surface, and prints your artwork straight onto it. The UV-LED ink cures the instant it lands, so the image becomes part of the wall itself rather than a plastic layer applied on top. Think of it like a normal printer connected to your computer, if it can go on paper, in most cases we can print it on your wall.

How is wall printing better than vinyl wall coverings?

Vinyl is a plastic film installed in panels, so it carries visible joins, overlaps and seams, relies on adhesive, and eventually has to be stripped off and thrown away. Direct-to-wall printing produces one continuous image with no joins, no adhesive, no backing paper and nothing sent to landfill, and it delivers sharper, more detailed output than traditional vinyl graphics.

How does wall printing compare with silk screening?

Silk screening, used by many museums for wall text, gives clearer text than vinyl, but the screens are complex and slow to produce. UV vertical wall printing achieves comparable or clearer results far faster, and lets you update exhibition content or messaging quickly rather than waiting on a new screen-making cycle.

How big can a wall print be?

The maximum print height is 4 metres and the length is unlimited, so a single continuous image can run the full length of a corridor without a panel join or a line at eye level.

What surfaces can you print on?

Plastered walls, concrete, wood, glass, tiles, wallpaper, painted walls, brick, plastics, paper and canvas are all suitable. It prints on a wide range of surfaces rather than absolutely everything, so we assess each surface on the free site visit. We also have a large easel, so movable items such as doors, tables and canvases can be printed too.

Does the wall have to be perfectly flat?

No. The printer copes with up to a two-inch variation or imperfection in the wall surface. Protruding obstacles can cause issues, so every job is individually assessed before we quote.

Can you print into corners?

External corners are not a problem. The printer cannot print into internal corners or tight recesses, so designs are planned to finish neatly before an internal corner or to continue seamlessly onto the next wall.

How long does a wall print last?

Around 10 years indoors and 5 years outdoors under normal conditions. The ink is UV-cured, so it does not fade in sunlight, and the finish is scratch resistant and waterproof; it can be wiped down or washed.

How much disruption does installation cause?

Very little. There are no rolls of wallpaper, no buckets of paste, no drying times and very little mess. The ink dries as it prints, so there is no downtime and most sites stay open and operating throughout.

What happens when we want to change the design?

You print over the existing artwork or paint over it with standard interior emulsion. There is nothing to peel away, no adhesive residue, no damaged plaster from stripping old graphics and no holes left by mounted signage, so no removal cost and no replastering.
